Evaluation System

Education without evaluation is of no use. At SFSCS we follow a strict evaluation system as per CBSE norms. Here is a brief outlook of our evaluation system:

Weekly Units and Term Exams

There will be weekly unit tests and three terminal examinations during the academic year. Each unit test is 10 marks per subject, while each terminal examination is 100 marks per subject. Promotion and ranking are based on the overall cumulative performance of the student during the year.

Please note that it is compulsory for the student to attend all these tests and examinations for getting promotion to the higher class.

The students have to go according to the divided syllabus mean for the concerned test or examination. They need not study from beginning to end.

The students will be awarded marks for the following subjects:

• English
• Hindi
• Punjabi
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Science

The students will be awarded grades for the following subjects:

• General knowledge
• Moral Science
• Computer Science
• Physical Education
• Art & Craft
• Music & Dance
• Work experience and socially useful productive work

The minimum aggregate percentage for passing is 40%.
